Our Building

Somers Heath School was built in 1956. Somers Heath County Primary School was formed in April 1984 by the amalgamation of the former Infant and Junior Schools. In Spring 1996 we opened our Nursery, since this we have undertaken major refurbishment throughout the school, including new blocks and expanding in size. Somers Heath is now a two-form entry primary school.

On June 1st 2017 we converted to an academy and joined Catalyst Academies Trust, a local trust consisting of five local schools, two of which are outstanding. In 2020, we began refurbishment works throughout the school. The regeneration project will enable our pupils to learn in a state of the art environment, fit for the 21st century. Once completed, it will reflect the ambition we have for our pupils, staff and wider community.
