What should my child be reading?
At Somers Heath Primary School we know how important reading is to a child's learning and development. They will have access to a class library of books and should be reading a minimum of three pages a night of a book from the library. After reading their pages, every student should be writing in a reading diary and bringing it to school every day to be checked by their teacher. This is an important part of their reading as it demonstrates an understanding of their book and is an opportunity to reflect on how much they are enjoying their book.
If your child needs support with selecting a book, their teacher can help.
